# Rating System Checkmate uses the following ratings:


Rating	Code	Description
Elo	CM	Players will be initially rated with the Glicko-2 rating system
Elo	FIDE	The International Chess Federation Elo rating system. ACF and rated competitions will use this Elo score. Federations who have differing rating systems will be accommodated if partnered.
Elo	CMX	CMX is Checkmate's proprietary skill-based rating and pairing system for individual and team rankings. CMX will be running in the background during the Alpha phase.
SPEEDPRO	SP	SPEEDPRO is a new game mode exclusive to checkmate. Details about this new mode will be released before season one.
