# Pay as you Play

Players not opting for the Pro Pass can still enjoy competitive play on Checkmate.live by purchasing tokens for tournament entry or buying a competition chess set. To ensure fair play, you must complete 30 games to be rated and undergo verification before participating. This option is ideal for those seeking a flexible competitive experience.
