Setting the Standard for Fair Play in Echess Events

Arbiter Mode is an advanced, cloud-based system developed to ensure fair play and competitive integrity in online chess tournaments. Built for high-stakes esports, it has been refined to meet the rigorous standards of Echess competitions, powered by Checkmate Live's Sixth-i Anti-Cheat Co-Pilot.

Key Features of Arbiter Mode

  1. Multicam Monitoring Enhance transparency and accountability by enabling multiple camera angles to monitor your playing environment during supervised matches.

  2. Screen Sharing Players must securely share their computer screens in real time with arbiters, ensuring compliance with FIDE Fair Play Rules and fostering a transparent competitive environment.

  3. Cloud Recording All gameplay, video streams, and screen shares are securely recorded in the cloud. These recordings are essential for post-match analysis, resolving disputes, and ensuring fair play integrity.

  4. Real-Time and Delayed Video Streaming

    • Arbiters and Players: Monitor games live for immediate oversight.

    • Fans: Enjoy matches via delayed streaming on Checkmate Live, preserving competitive integrity while providing an engaging viewer experience.

Allow permissions in your broswer

Note for Users: Allowing Permissions in Chrome

When using certain features on our platform, your Chrome browser may prompt you to allow specific permissions, such as access to your camera, microphone, screen sharing, or location. Granting these permissions ensures the best experience and functionality.

How to Allow Permissions:

  1. Look for the Prompt:

    • A small popup will appear near the address bar asking for your permission (e.g., "Allow [site] to access your camera and microphone" or "Allow screen sharing").

  2. Click "Allow":

    • Select "Allow" to enable the requested feature.

  3. For Screen Sharing:

    • When prompted to share your screen, a window will appear allowing you to choose what to share (e.g., your entire screen, a specific application window, or a browser tab).

    • Select the desired option and click "Share" to proceed.

  4. Refresh the Page:

    • If the feature doesn't work immediately, refresh the page after granting permissions.

Why Permissions Are Needed:

  • Camera & Microphone: For video calls, tournaments, and live play features.

  • Screen Sharing: To participate in supervised games, collaborate during coaching sessions, or share your screen during live streams.

  • Location: To personalize your experience or comply with regional requirements.

  • Notifications: To keep you updated on important events or game status.

Guidelines for the Best Experience During Tournaments:

  • Close Other Tabs and Browsers:

    • Do not have other tabs or browsers open during the tournament. This helps ensure a smooth experience and reduces distractions or technical issues.

  • End of Tournament:

    • At the end of the tournament, make sure to close your browser completely to disengage from any permissions or ongoing sessions.

  • Prepare Your Screen for Sharing:

    • Close any sensitive or unrelated content on your screen before sharing.

Troubleshooting:

If you accidentally block permissions:

  1. Click the lock icon in the address bar.

  2. Select "Site settings."

  3. Adjust the permissions to "Allow."

  4. Refresh the page.

Additional Tips:

  • Keep your browser updated to avoid compatibility issues.

  • Use a stable internet connection for the best performance.

Your privacy and security are our top priorities. These permissions are used strictly to enhance your experience and are never shared with third parties. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact our support team.
