Checkmate offers a free-to-play experience with the option to enhance your gameplay through season passes. These upgraded battle passes, available in Arcade Mode and Pro Mode, unlock enhanced features, rewards, and exclusive perks.

The Arcade Pass and Pro Pass are integral to their respective modes, functioning as dynamic battle pass systems. They provide a structured progression path, offering you loot, perks and rewards as you play. The Arcade Pass is perfect for those who enjoy casual play. At the same time, the Pro Pass caters to competitive-minded players seeking to compete for cash (USDC), mint unique rewards, and access the in-game video feature for activating your next-gen Avatar.

1. **Battle Pass in Arcade Mode:**

* Players in Arcade Mode earn points by playing games and completing challenges. These points help them advance through different levels (tiers) of the battle pass.
* Rewards: Each tier offers unique rewards, such as in-game items, exclusive content, and other perks. The higher the tier, the more valuable the rewards.
* There are 100 levels (tiers).&#x20;
* When the 100 levels are unlocked, the player progresses to the Pro Pass
* There is a basic, free version with limited rewards and a premium, paid version with greater rewards.

2. **Battle Pass in Pro Mode:**

* Pro Tournaments: The pass also offers access to tournaments with cash or crypto (USDC) prizes and comes with enhanced fair play measures.
* Players earn points by playing games and completing challenges in Arcade Mode. These points help them advance through the battle pass's 100 levels (tiers).
* When the 100 levels are unlocked, the player progresses to the Infinite level
* The Infinite level unlocks more XP and credits

As you play you earn battle points and XP to level up you pass to unlock rewards and loot. All players can play for free or level up with a pass that unlocks a bundle of extra features and rewards, Including Avatars, Chess Sets, Crown and exclusive tournaments. Pro Passes are for players who want to play for Cash (USDC), mint rewards and include the in-game video feature to unlock your 3D Avatar.&#x20;
