The following page outlines the terms and conditions for Checkmates invite-a-mate competition.

Prize Schedule

The participant with the highest number of successful invites, validated by the bot, will be awarded Prize 1, as detailed in the Schedule above. The participant with the next highest count of validated invites will receive Prize 2, as outlined in the Schedule above. The participant with the third highest count of validated invites will be awarded Prize 3, as described in the Schedule above. Participants ranked 4th to 10th in terms of the number of validated invites, will each receive their respective prizes as specified in the Schedule above. Winners will be notified by being tagged on Discord and must raise a ticket to the Checkmate Discord channel within seven days of this action to claim their prize.

Our community lead member will validate entries as per the information below to ensure no breaches of the terms and conditions of entry. Authorisation of the verified winner will take place at TL Esports Pty Ltd T/A VADR MEDIA ABN 12 616 110 055, Australia, 143A King St, Mascot, Sydney, NSW 2020

Conditions of entry

This competition is free to enter; no purchase is required.
Participants need to reach at least Level 10 to be eligible.
Invites from participants need to reach at least Level 5 within the Discord community.
A successful invite is defined as one that results in a new member with an account age of more than two months.
All Discord IDs must be valid, and entrants must remain subscribed to the channel until the prize is drawn.
Invalid IDs will automatically be disqualified.
The entrant is eligible to win a maximum of one (1) prize.

Terms

By entering the promotion, you also agree to be bound by Checkmate’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, and you confirm that your entry will comply with such Terms of Use.

The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) and that entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule).

Spamming parties who you do not know with invites is considered a breach of these terms and conditions. However, sharing information about the promotion on your own social media accounts or inviting friends does not count as spamming and is encouraged.

The winners of the promotion must possess a valid web3 wallet capable of receiving USDC; no alternative settlement methods will be provided.

Securing a spot on the allowlist, also known as the whitelist, for the Checkmate Alpha Pack sale does not guarantee the ability to purchase an Alpha Pack. It merely grants access to the pre-sale list.

The winner must provide a web3 wallet address for whitelisting, and it is the winner’s responsibility to make the purchase on the designated day. The winner is advised to closely monitor the promoter’s social media channels to stay informed about the pre-sale window and any potential changes or requirements.

The ability to activate an Arcade or Battle Pass or equivalent versions will be accessible on checkmate.live once the Season 1 Battle Pass, or its equivalent, is made available in-game. A Pro Pass requires KYC verification to be activated.

All costs and expenses not included within the prizes (including any applicable taxes) are the responsibility of the winner(s) (unless prohibited under applicable law of your jurisdiction).

Prizes not claimed by eligible entrants within seven days of the "notification" in accordance with these General Rules will not be sent to the entrant and will remain the property of Checkmate. Play Fair

The following individuals are excluded from entering the promotion:

Employees of Checkmate, its media partners, and each of these parties’ group companies, affiliates, advertising agencies, public relations agencies, prize suppliers, agents and anyone professionally connected with this promotion, including vendors providing services in relation to the promotion (collectively referred to as “Promotional Entities”);
Employees, directors, officers, and any members of their immediate families (and those with whom they live) of the Promotional Entities. “Immediate family” refers to spouses, parents, in-laws, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Businesses are not eligible to enter the promotion.
No entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices are permitted and no bulk entries.

Checkmate reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:

Verify the eligibility of any entrant (including their age and place of residence);
disqualify any entrant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the promotion or entering using fraudulent means, or who breaches these General Rules;
disqualify any entrant found to be in breach of any terms of service applicable to the Community Discord Channel or who have had their Account suspended or withdrawn during the promotion; disqualify entrants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf;
and disqualify any entrant posting an entry or a comment to the Checkmate’s Channel that is, in Checkmate’s opinion, inappropriate, offensive or upsetting to other entrants, fans of Checkmate or contrary to our community rules or applicable law, and to remove any such entry or comment.

All personal data submitted in connection with the promotion will be processed by VADR Media on behalf of Checkmate for the purposes of administering and managing the promotion, the award of prizes (where applicable), verifying the eligibility of an entrant and exercising its rights under these General Rules. Data that is collected from or about entrants will be used in accordance with Checkmate privacy policy, a copy of which can be found here.
